Brendon McCullum and Daniel Vettori continued to consolidate New Zealand's position on the second day of the first Test after a disastrous start on Day One.
The hosts were 211 for 6 yesterday when Vettori joined McCullum and at the time of going to press earlier today, they had taken NZ to 349 after 106 overs.
Skipper Vettori was batting on 70 while McCullum, playing an uncharacteristically patient innings, was unbeaten on 64.
