Nagpur: Vidarbha's outstation professionals Ganesh Sathish and India discard Subramanium Badrinath madesignificant contribution as the hosts hammered Rajasthan by 134 runs in a Central Zone leg match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, here today.

Batting first, Vidarbha posted a commendable 285 in 49.3 overs with Sathish (103) and Badrinath (86) scoring bul of the runs. For Rajasthan, skipper Pankaj Singh bowled his heart out on an unresponsive pitch to grab six for 50 in 10 overs. However the middle-order batsmen led by Robin Bist (5) failed miserably to get all out for 151 in 36.3 overs.

Ashok Menaria (60) and Puneet Yadav (44) added an even-100 for the fourth wicket but that certainly wasn't enough as seven of the batsmen failed to reach double digits.

For Vidarbha, Ravi Thakur (3/18) was the most successful bowler while Swapnil Bandiwar, Akshay Wakhare and Ravi Jangid got two wickets apiece.

During Vidarbha innings, Sathish and Badri added 163 runs for the third wicket to lay solid platform for the hosts. Sathish hit 10 fours in 123 balls while Badri's 97-ball knock had nine fours.

Rajasthan 151 in 36.3 overs (Ashok Menaria 60, Puneet Yadav 44, Ravi Thakur 3/18). Vidarbha won by 134 runs. Points: Vidarbha 4; Rajasthan 0.
