Mumbai U-16 team emerged as West Zone champions of the Vijay Merchant Trophy with 14 points and qualified for the inter-zonal knockout round.
Mumbai tasted one win and three draws in the league stage.
In their last league match against Saurashtra, played from December 21 to 23 at Kandivli, Mumbai posted 429-6 declared, thanks to tons from Divyansh Saxena (136) and Suved Parkar (132).
Pavan Parmar was the highest scorer for Saurashtra with 61 runs as Mumbai bowlers Mukund Sardar and Atharva Ankolekar claimed 4-60 and 3-41 respectively to bundle Saurashtra out for 181 in 83.3 overs.
In the second innings, Mumbai were 148-2 before the match ended in a draw.
