Opening batsman for the Women's Indian women's cricket team, Smriti Mandhana is in a great form at the on-going ICC Women's World Cup. She scored 90 runs of 72 balls against England and 106 runs of 108 balls against West Indies. Her stellar performance has helped India with with 35 runs and 7 wickets, making them strong contenders for the knockout stage of the competition.
In a report by the Indian Express, Mandhana's impressive display of skill and finesse has won her fans and plenty of attention from players and the media who have lauded the skilled, 20-year-old batsman from Sangli. The leading lady also won Man Of the Match in both games. One of Manshana's fans tweeted likening her to opener and former India batsman Vierender Sehwag, who was known for his batting style.
