Wolverhampton Wanderers' manager Mick McCarthy believes the appointment of new Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is a welcome one, but does not guarantee Liverpool a return to former glories

Wolverhampton Wanderers' manager Mick McCarthy believes the appointment of new Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is a welcome one, but does not guarantee Liverpool a return to former glories.

McCarthy and his relegation haunted squad are determined to postpone the King Kenny effect. "Liverpool will be up for it and looking for a bit of revenge. It's game on. It's great to have Kenny back because he's a terrific character, but I hope it's not fantastic for him this weekend," said McCarthy.
