Rajasthan Royals' captain Shane Warne was delighted that his move to promote himself up and send explosive Yusuf Pathan at number eight led to a super win over IPL leaders Deccan Chargers here on Saturday. "We tried to send Yusuf down the order as he finishes the game well. He hits the ball strongly, slogs well. We were happy to restrict them to 141," Warne said.
Chargers' skipper Adam Gilchrist rued the butter-fingered efforts of his fielders after suffering their second successive defeat in the League. Some poor ground fielding and missed run out chances allowed Rajasthan Royals score a thrilling three-wicket win after tottering at 3/3 at one stage. Yusuf slammed 24 from 14 balls with two fours and two sixes.
"It was a great game of cricket. We both (teams) had the opportunities to win. Unfortunately, we lost. We bowled well but perhaps our fielders had a lapse of concentration," the former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman said.
Asked if 141 was defendable, he nodded: "Definitely, it was defendable. We lost it in the second last, third-last ball, so it was defendable total. After a good start we have had a couple of setbacks and will discuss how to go about it. It's a long tournament. We had four wins in a row. Anything can happen down the track," he added.
