We need to keep it simple: England skipper Edwards

England got the better of the Aussies by seven wickets with 11 balls to spare in the final group league match in Galle. The English women are still unbeaten in the tournament while Australia lost only to their arch-rivals on their road to final.

England got past New Zealand by seven wickets and Australia beat the West Indies by 28 runs in the semi-finals.

Despite loss to England, Australia skipper Jodie Fields can boast of having three Australians in the top-10 list of run-getters in the tournament so far. Meg Lanning is fourth while Jess Cameron and Lisa Sthalekar occupy the sixth and ninth spots respectively.

"Tomorrow, we'll need to be 100 percent disciplined. That'll keep us in good stead. We want to win that trophy, going in as defending champions," said Fields on the eve of the final.

England captain Charlotte Edwards was more relaxed. "What we've talked about a lot in team meetings so far is to keep doing the basics well. We need to keep it as simple as possible tomorrow. We all know it's a World Twenty20 final but it's still important that we do the basics well and execute our plans. If we do that, we know we can win this trophy," Edwards said.
