I'm ready! Virender Sehwag |
"The Champions Trophy exit is history. The team is looking forward to the series against Australia. The boys are raring to go and I'm sure we will do well. We should win this series," Sehwag, who celebrated his 30th birthday yesterday told MiD DAY.
The prolific batsman, who has been out of the Indian team recently due to a shoulder injury, is set to join Dhoni & Co in Mumbai for practice today.u00a0u00a0
"I'm comfortable with the bat right now, though I have not bowled yet. But the shoulder is regaining strength and I will try to bowl at nets tomorrow," said Sehwag, who played for Delhi Daredevils in the ongoing Champions League.
"The League was good match practice for me, but it should have included a few of our domestic Twenty20 teams too. That would have increased spectator interest as people would have identified more players. Also, our youngsters would have gained in experience," he said.
