England captain Andrew Strauss retains the faith that his team can still win the World Cup ufffd despite the second shock defeat of their Group B campaign.
Bangladesh scrambled a two-wicket win last night, in pursuit of 225 all out, to leave England contemplating a week of worry before they get their final chance to earn a quarter-final spot against West Indies on Friday.
England have therefore lost to two supposed minnows, following their defeat to Ireland in Bangalore, and will almost certainly need to complete their group fixtures with a victory over the Windies.
Yet asked if they can not only do that but win three straight knockout matches against the world's best too, Strauss said: "We still believe we can. We've put in some very inconsistent performances and still haven't had a game when our batting and bowling fires at the same time and we need to do that pretty quickly now.
"We're going to have to do it in that last game against the West Indies." ufffd
