2.What will Pollard bring to Mumbai Indians?
Pollard is a good batting all-rounder and we are happy to have him as part of the Mumbai Indians team.
3.Was Tendulkar more keen on getting Pollard on board or was it coach, Robin who has a Trinidad background?
It was a combined team effort led by Sachin, Sekar and Robin as per the strategy.
4.Despite having big names like Tendulkar, Jayasuriya and Duminy, the batsmen have let Mumbai Indians down in crunch situations. Do you see Pollard playing a big role in turning it around?
We have used the last year in reflecting and ironing out some of the possible areas of improvement, especially with regards to close matches.
Captain Sachin with Robin and Sekar have been meeting members of the team and we have had a couple of focussed camps already ahead of Season III.
The nucleus of the team is very strong and our key players are in good form.
5.Have you or anyone from Mumbai Indians had a word with Pollard?
No. We went into the auction as per our strategy.
