The controversy continued this week as the second-leg at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening ended in a 1-1 draw with striker Gonzalo Higuain's goal disallowed by the referee.
However, Barca midfielder Xavi believes that they were the better team over the two legs and told reporters: "The team did a great job, especially in defence. We knew that they were going to push a little higher.
"We had more possession, maybe not as much as we had earlier, but justice was done. We were superior in the overall tie.
"They (Madrid) have lost and that must be somehow justified. We are in the final and we were superior to Madrid, whatever they say.
In addition, we also had Eric Abidal returning to the pitch after his recovery from the tumour surgery (that he underwent in March). It was a great night."
