Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), on a directive from the national sports minister, has asked those picked in the England-bound squad to return from the Indian Premier League and take part in a training camp in Colombo. However, Sangakkara suggested on Thursday that the players were yet to be told of the precise date of joining the tour squad.

"I am not sure if it is going to be May 5 or not (date of returning home)," Sangakkara, captain of Deccan Chargers, said after the 33-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore here on Thursday.

"It is up to the BCCI and SLC to negotiate on this (date of return). What we as players can do is to abide by the decision of our Board. "I hope the players would be communicated after a decision is taken by the BCCI and SLC," he was quoted as saying by PTI.

Sri Lanka's tour of England begins on May 14 with a three-day match against Middlesex. The schedule includes three Tests, five ODIs and a T20I against England besides a one-dayer each against Ireland and Scotland.
