The West Indies were set a revised target of 235 in 40 overs after rain disrupted play in the fourth one-day international against New Zealand today morning.
New Zealand made 275 for four in their innings and the West Indies were 47 without loss in the ninth over when the players were forced from the field for about an hour.
Captain Chris Gayle was on 35 off 31 balls while Sewnarine Chattergoon had reached 11 off 21.
The series is level at one-all with the fifth and final match to be played in Napier on Tuesday.
