With Ronaldo gone, the heat is on Ferguson

Alex Ferguson returns to Carrington this week after his annual three-week break in the France during which heu00a0 sanctioned Cristiano Ronaldo to Real. However, the World no 1 player's departure calls for significant additions to Ferguson's squad. Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery may be part of the plan or Wigan's Antonio Valencia. Carlos Tevez's loss may be filled by Karim Benzema. Dutchman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is another option.

However, none of these moves are confirmed yet. Add to this the fact that Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Edwin van der Sar are all preparing for what could be their final seasons of top-flight action and the heat is definitely on the Man U manager.
