Filled with confidence after a double ton against Mumbai in the Irani Trophy, Yuvraj Singh today expressed hope that he will make a comeback into the Indian squad soon.
"My confidence has been boosted after the double hundred because I had not scored big for quite sometime," Yuvraj said.
The dashing middle-order batsman hoped that he will carry forward his form into the Challengers Trophy tournament and make it to the ODI squad on the back of his good performance in the ongoing series.
The left-hander said he was disappointed not to be chosen for the Test squad but added, "Players go in and out of the team all the time but if I can perform well, I will surely be able to secure a berth in the Indian team."
The Punjab batsman has his eyes set on the World Cup next year and said he is preparing for the big occasion.
Replying to a question on his marriage, Yuvraj said he was happy with his bachelor status and assured that he will not shock everyone with a sudden marriage like Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
