Goregaon Sports Club thumped Mazgaon Cricket Club by 126 runs to storm into the final of the GK Phanse tournament at Oval Maidan on Friday.
Batting first, Manan Bhatt top-scored with 57 as Goregaon SC were all out for 203 in 42 overs. Meet Patil was the top wicket-taker for Mazgaon CC with 4-36.
In reply, the Mazgaon CC batsmen showed hardly any application as they were bowled out for 77, thanks to an impressive bowling performance from Vedant Gadia, who finished with figures of 4.3-2-5-6.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-final, Dombivli CC pipped Sporting Union Club by nine runs. Dombivli CC posted 207 thanks to contributions from Sahil Jadhav (46), Aarya Chowkidar (43) and Saif Khan (40 not out). Anuj Giri of Sporting Union Club claimed 4-27.
In response, Sporting Union managed just 198 as Sheet Rambhia climing 4-34.
