India were all out for 445 in their first innings on the second day of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test on Friday.
Team India received a five-run penalty as Ravichandran Ashwin ran over the protected area of the pitch on day two of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. The visitors will start their first innings with five runs at no wickets loss.

India resumed the second day on their overnight score of 326/5 with Jadeja and night-watchman Kuldeep Yadav (1) at the crease. However, both of them lost their wickets and the hosts slipped to 331 for the loss of seven wickets.

Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to convert his start into big runs and Shubman Gill departed on a duck on the opening day of the third test match.
Returning pacer Mark Wood struck four wickets for England. The second successful bowler from the visitor's point of view was Rehan Ahmed who bagged two wickets for 85 runs.

Highlights of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test
Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja stood strong despite the loss of wickets on day one of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test. Both smashed blistering tons with Rohit scoring 131 and Jadeja with 112 runs.
Sarfaraz Khan who kept knocking on the door of the national team for years finally received his maiden test cap. He did not disappoint the team and played a fiery knock of 62 runs. The miscommunication with Jadeja made him lose his wicket to a throw by Mark Wood at the non-striker's end.
Dhruv Jurel who also debuted in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test, smashed 46 runs in 104 deliveries including 2 fours and 3 sixes. Ravichandran Ashwin chipped in with 37 while sharing a 77-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Jurel.
In the end, India's lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah accumulated 26 runs in the hosts' favour. India ended their first innings with 445 runs on board.
