Thanks to Manish Pandey’s 46-ball 61 (5x4, 1x6), Kane Williamson’s (26 not out in 10 balls, 4x4, 1x6) and an unbeaten 12 in just four balls from Kedar Jadhav, SRH posted 171-3 in the allotted 20 overs.

Hyderabad (SRH) coach Trevor Bayliss seemed disappointed with the way SRH skipper David Warner played against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the IPL encounter in Delhi on Wednesday.

Warner took 55 balls for his 57 runs (3x4, 2x6) and Bayliss felt the opener's slow batting resulted in the side's seven-wicket loss to the MS Dhoni-led Chennai outfit.

"David will be the first to admit that he struggled to hit in the gaps today [Wednesday]. He hit a lot of balls to the fielder. With David, that doesn't happen a lot. Tonight it did and it hurt a bit," Bayliss said at the post-match virtual press conference on Wednesday night.

Thanks to Manish Pandey's 46-ball 61 (5x4, 1x6), Kane Williamson's (26 not out in 10 balls, 4x4, 1x6) and an unbeaten 12 in just four balls from Kedar Jadhav, SRH posted 171-3 in the allotted 20 overs.

"The other guys batted really well and the team effort got us to 171, which wasn't quite enough [on this pitch]," Bayliss remarked.

Riding on a 129-run opening stand from Ruturaj Gaikwad (44-ball 75, 12x4) and 38-ball 56 (6x4, 1x6) from Faf du Plessis, CSK brought victory with nine balls to spare.

Now, with only a solitary win (against Punjab Kings) after six games, SRH are struggling at the bottom of the points table.
