Chennai Super Kings star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja's late heroics helped the side post a total of 167 runs in the IPL 2024 match against Punjab Kings. Jadeja played a knock of 43 runs in 26 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes. PBKS need to chase 168 runs to win the IPL 2024 match against CSK. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was the second-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2024 match against PBKS.

Having needed to bat first in the IPL 2024 match against Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings' opening batsman Ajinkya Rahane departed early for just nine runs. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad who has been in great form scored 32 runs off 21 balls before getting dismissed in Arshdeep Singh's over. His 32-run knock included 4 fours and 1 six. Coming to bat at number three, explosive batsman Daryl Mitchell smashed 30 runs in 19 balls, laced with 2 fours and 1 six. Punjab's spinner Rahul Chahar dismissed all-rounder Shivam Dube on a duck. Facing 20 balls, Moeen Ali scored 17 runs by smashing 2 fours. Mitchell Santer too was not able to score huge runs. The left-hander scored 11 runs including 1 four. PBKS' pacer Harshal Patel bowled all-rounder Shardul Thakur for 17 runs followed by, former CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on zero runs.
Punjab Kings spinner Deepak Chahar and pacer Harshal Patel registered three wickets each. Completing their quotas of four overs, Chahar conceded 23 runs, whereas Harshal was smashed for 24 runs. Arshdeep Singh bagged two wickets for 42 runs in four overs. Stand-in captain Sam Curran too claimed one wicket for 34 runs by bowling four overs. Lead pacer Kagiso Rabad and spinner Harpreet Brar went wicketless in the IPL 2024 match against CSK.
