The IPL 2024 Final ended in the favour of the Kolkata Knight Riders. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. This was the third time KKR won the Indian Premier League title.

In the run chase of 114 runs in the IPL 2024 Final, Kolkata Knight Riders lost the early wicket of their star opening batsman Sunil Narine for just six runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz on the other hand, stood strong and scored 39 runs in 32 balls. His innings was laced with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Coming in to bat at number three, Venkatesh Iyer played an unbeaten knock of 52 runs off 26 deliveries including 4 fours and 3 sixes. The left-hander batted with a strike rate of 200.00. Captain Shreyas Iyer stayed unbeaten on six runs in three balls including 1 four.
Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Pat Cummins registered the crucial wicket of Sunil Narine in the IPL 2024 Final. Shahbaz Ahmed dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Bhuvnesh Kumar, T. Natarajan, Jaydev Unadkat and Aiden Markram went wicketless in the IPL 2024 Final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Having won the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Cummins opted to bat first. Explosive opening batsmen Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. Rahul Tripathi departed on nine runs, followed by Aiden Markram on 20 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen scored 13 and 16 runs, respectively. Shahbaz Ahmed and Abdul Samad scored 8 and 4 runs, respectively before departing. Jaydev Unadkat scored four runs. Skipper Pat Cummins was only able to score 24 runs in 19 deliveries including 2 fours and 2 six. Bhuvneshwar Kumar stayed unbeaten on zero runs.
Star all-rounder Andre Russell bagged three wickets for 19 runs in 2.3 overs. Lead pacer Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana registered two wickets each to their names. Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy claimed one wicket each.
