Having needed to chase a target of 166 runs in the IPL 2024 match against Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad opening batsmen Tarvis Head and Abhishek Sharma created havoc at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The opening duo single-handedly pulled the match for Hyderabad. Abhishek smashed 75 runs off just 28 deliveries including 8 fours and 6 sixes with a strike rate of 267.86. Facing 30 balls, Head on the other hand, blasted 89 runs which were laced with 8 fours and 8 sixes with a strike rate of 296.67.

Yash Thakur was the most expensive player from Lucknow's perspective. In his 2.4 overs spell, he conceded 47 runs. Naveen-Ul-Haq was bashed for 37 runs and Ravi Bishnoi leaked 34 runs. LSG bowlers failed to make an impact in the IPL 2024 match against SRH.
Batting first in the IPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni were the standout performers for Lucknow Super Giants. Facing 30 balls, Badoni scored an unbeaten 55 runs including 9 fours. Pooran on the other hand, smashed unbeaten 48 runs off 26 balls. His knock was laced with 6 fours and 1 six. Opening the innings, Rahul scored 29 runs off 33 deliveries including 1 four and 1 six. Star opening batsman Quinton de Kock who missed out on a few IPL 2024 matches has returned to the side. Quinton departed early with just two runs. Despite losing early wickets, Krunal Pandya scored 24 runs which were laced with 2 sixes.

Sunrisers Hyderabad lead pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed two wickets by conceding just 12 runs in his four overs. Skipper Pat Cummins leaked 47 runs and registered one wicket in his four-over spell. T. Natarajan was the most expensive bowler from Hyderabad's perspective.
