Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan is the latest on the players' list to test positive for coronavirus. Irfan Pathan, who was part of the recently-concluded Road Safety World Series, which involved former cricket players from various countries, made his announcement on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Irfan Pathan wrote, "I have tested positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms and have isolated myself and quarantines at home. I would request those who came in contact with me in the recent past to please get themselves tested. Urging all to wear masks and maintain social distancing. Wishing you all good health."

Irfan Pathan becomes the fourth player from the Road Safety World Series to test positive for COVID-19. Irfan Pathan's brother Yusuf Pathan on Saturday had announced that he tested positive for coronavirus and quarantined himself at home and "taking all the necessary precautions".

Earlier on that day, former India legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to social media, the Little Master informed that all other members at his home have returned a negative COVID result."I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I've tested positive today following mild symptoms," Tendulkar said in a statement on Twitter. "All others at home have tested negative. I've quarantined myself at home and am following all the necessary protocols as advised by my doctors. I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country. Take care all of you," he added.

Yesterday, former India batsman S Badrinath, part of the Road Safety World Series, also said he tested positive for COVID-19 and was in home isolation, which made him the third ex India cricketer from the Road Safety World Series tournament to be infected by the virus in the last couple of days.
