Star Indian pacer Mohammed Shami took to Instagram to share an update on his successful heel operation. Taking to Instagram:
"Just had a successful heel operation on my achilles tendon! ð Recovery is going to take some time, but looking forward to getting back on my feet quickly â¤ï¸Âlove you all": the Indian pacer wrote on Instagram.

He missed the home T20I series against Australia following the ICC event, and he was ruled out of the entire South Africa tour. He also missed the Afghanistan series and is not participating in the ongoing Test series against England.
Shami has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League 2024 due to injury issues. The 33-year-old, who is not part of the ongoing Test series against England, last donned the Indian jersey in November 2023 during the ICC ODI World in India.
Mohammed Shami played a pivotal role in India's ODI World Cup campaign last year. He played with pain and registered 24 wickets to his name.
He was recently awarded the Arjuna Award for his exceptional show with the ball in the global showpiece.
So far, the pacer has featured in 64 tests, 101 One-Day Internationals and 23 T20 International matches.
Shami will not be a part of the 2024 edition of IPL. The cash-rich league is all set to kick start on March 22.
Shami contributed significantly to Gujarat Titans's success in both seasons. The 33-year-old bowler picked up 20 wickets in 2022 and followed it up with an even stronger performance in IPL 2023, taking 28 wickets at an average of 18.64. Shami was especially devastating with the new ball.
