Chairman of selectors Chetan Sharma is unlikely to escape the BCCI's wrath after he spoke about, among other topics, the Virat Kohli v Board battle which led to Kohli ceasing to be captain in all formats of the game, in a sting operation interview.

The powers that be are believed to be livid at Chetan for speaking out on delicate issues. It is learnt that Chetan was interviewed by Zee TV before he was reappointed chief selector. It can be recalled that the BCCI invited applications for all five slots to be filled in the committee after which Chetan was surprisingly picked to head the committee in January. Salil Ankola, SS Das, S Sharath and Subroto Banerjee are other members of the panel.
