Michael Holding
The fifth and final Test between India and England was supposed to be Michael Holding's last as a commentator, but with the Test being cancelled, the fourth Test at The Oval ended up being the last one that he called.
Interestingly, it was at The Oval in 1976 where West Indies' Holding witnessed his finest hour - a 14-wicket match haul - against Tony Greig's Englishmen.
Holding gave commentary a good name be it for his employers Sky or other networks he lent his voice to.
He made several trips to India for commentary but stayed away from the microphone when it came to T20 cricket.
