Opener Bhupen Lalwani (88, 10x4, 1x6) and No.4 Armaan Jaffer (76 not out, 7x4, 2x6) helped Mumbai U-25 post 226-3 against Vidarbha on Day One of their CK Nayudu Trophy final in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Batting first, Mumbai lost opener Divyaansh Saxena (7) and skipper Hardik Tamore (22) early, but Lalwani and Armaan showcased a disciplined approach, sharing a 52-run third wicket stand. Mumbai ended the day on a positive note when in-form Suved Parkar (29 not out) joined Armaan to stitch an unbeaten 72-run partnership.
Meanwhile, in U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy semi-final against Maharashtra in Kolkata, captain Musheer Khan smashed 134 (18x4, 1x6) to pile up 318-4 at stumps on Day One. Opener Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 81 with the help of 10 fours and two sixes.
