Having made a return to the game after a 15-month break, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant shared the images with the members of Team India as they departed for the T20 World Cup 2024. Pant was seen enjoying the adulation of fans and meeting his former teammates, taking selfies with fellow players at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

Pant on Saturday posted a picture of some of his teammates including Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Rishabh Pant in the IPL 2024 captained Delhi Capitals. The veteran seemed having a decent run with the willow as he scored 446 runs in 13 matches with an average of 40.55 and a strike rate of 155.40. With a rollercoaster season, Delhi Capitals finished in the sixth position on the IPL 2024 points table with 14 points.
The first batch of Team India including skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid departed late at night from Mumbai to New York to feature in the T20 World Cup 2024. The marquee event is set to begin in June and will be jointly hosted by the USA and the West Indies.
As per various visuals posted on social media platforms, the first batch of players, along with Indian team support staff, left for New York via Dubai and comprised of players who are not participating in the business end stage of IPL 2024.
Apart from Rishabh Pant, the other players that left for New York include Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dube, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, along with reserve players Shubman Gill and Khaleel Ahmed were seen entering the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for their travel to New York journey.
Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya were not seen in the visuals of Team India's first batch to New York. As per the reports, the latter is in London and will join Rohit and Co. ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.
Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal and Yashasvi Jaiswal, along with reserve players Avesh Khan and Rinku Singh are expected to join the Indian side in New York in a couple of days.
Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal and Avesh Khan ended their IPL 2024 campaign on Friday after facing a defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the qualifier two in Chennai. Rinku Singh will play the final match for Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai on Sunday.
