Sourav Ganguly is definitely among some of the greatest ODI batsmen in the world of cricket. On this day back in 1999, Ganguly and Dravid created a historic partnership against Sri Lanka in the World Cup.
But it was Sourav Ganguly's timely and brilliant 183 runs at Taunton that thrilled the fans and shocked the world as India went on to defeat Sri Lanka in a historic manner. He went on to create history as he posted the highest individual score by an Indian cricketer at the ICC World Cup.
New Zealand's Martin Guptill holds the record for the highest-ever individual score at the ICC World Cup while West Indies' Chris Gayle is second. South Africa's Gary Kirsten, who is third on the list, previously held the record for 19 years.
Today, we take a look at him and other batsmen to achieve this feat. Here's a look at the top 15 highest individual scores in ICC World Cups over the years.
