Riding on Karan More's unbeaten 130, Sainath Sports Club beat United Cricketers by 117 runs on the opening day of a Young Comrade Shield match on Friday.
Opting to bat after winning the toss, Sainath SC posted 292-7 in 44 overs. Bharat Patil contributed a crucial 53 not out.
In reply, United Cricketers were bundled out for 175 in 38.1 overs, thanks to Yash Chavan's 4-31.
In another encounter, Cricket Club of India (CCI) registered a thrilling one-wicket win over National Cricket Club. Chasing 226, Vaibhav Mali (33 not out) took CCI home with five balls to spare. Aniket Redkar (5-44) and Kruthik Hanagavadi (3-37) starred with the ball for CCI.
