Having won the toss, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya decided to bowl first. The initial overs proved to be in the favour of the hosts as the top four Kolkata Knight Riders' batsmen lost their early wickets

MI was in total control of the match until Venkatesh Iyer came in to bat. The left-hander scored 70 runs off 52 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Facing 31 deliveries, impact player Manish Pandey on the other hand, scored 42 runs which were laced with 2 fours and 2 sixes

Slinger Nuwan Thushara and lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah registered three wickets each to their names. Pandya bagged two wickets, followed by Piyush Chawla with one. The Paltan bowled out the Knights for 169 in 19.5 overs

MI openers Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma who played as an impact player in yesterday's match lost their wickets early. Naman Dhir, too departed for 11 runs

Premier batsman Suryakumar Yadav scored 56 runs before getting dismissed by Andre Russell. Tim David was another standout performer for MI with the willow. He scored 24 runs in 20 balls including 1 four and 1 six

No MI batsmen were able to accumulate many runs. KKR's lead pacer Mitchell Starc registered a four-wicket haul. Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell had two wickets each under their belts. The Knights bowled out Mumbaikars for 145 runs and won the match by 24 runs
