India's star batsman Virat Kohli who has been out of action for quite a few months will be returning to the game during the Indian Premier League 2024. Royal Challengers Banglore will be playing their opening clash against Chennai Super Kings on March 22

During the Indian T20 showpiece, Kohli will be eyeing a huge milestone. He is just six runs shy from completing 12,000 T20 runs

If he manages to complete six runs, then he will become the first-ever Indian batsman in history to amass 12,000 T20 runs. Currently, Virat Kohli has accumulated 11,994 runs in 376 T20 matches

Topping the list is legendary West Indies batsman Chris Gayle with 14,562 runs followed by Shoaib Malik (13360), Keiron Pollard (12900), Alex Hales (12318) and David Warner (12065)

Besides Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma is the next Indian batsman with the most T20 runs. So far, the Indian skipper has 11,156 T20 runs to his name
