The Test series between India and Bangladesh will mark the return of wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. He will return to Test cricket after nearly 20 months since his horrific car crash

The Indian side has also included uncapped left-arm pacer Yash Dayal in the squad. The pacer was a part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL)

Alongside Pant, Dhruv Jurel and KL Rahul have also been picked ahead of the Bangladesh Test series. With Rahul also named in the squad, he will likely play the role of the middle-order batsman

The spectators will expect the Mumbaikar to continue his swashbuckling approach as he did against England earlier in the year
