Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand reveals he has found love with actor Kate Wright after his wife Rebecca died of cancer in 2015
Former Manchester United defender and England international Rio Ferdinand, 38, has finally opened up on his romance with actor Kate Wright, 26, on British TV show This Morning yesterday. This was also the first time that Ferdinand was seen without his wedding ring, after his wife Rebecca died of cancer in 2015, reported British tabloid, The Sun.

The former footballer and Wright have been in a relationship from December last year, but kept their romance out of the spotlight till August this year when they starting sharing pictures of themselves together on social media.

"I'm really happy, the kids are happy. I'm in a relationship and it's going well. My kids deserve to be happy," he told TV hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield. Ferdinand also spoke about how he ensured that his kids - Lorenz, 10, Tate, eight, and Tia, six were involved in all the conversations about his relationship. "They have to be part of that conversation [about relationships]. There has not been any stage in this relationship they have not been part of. From the introducing... I will always make sure they are part of any conversation that can be affect their lives."
