Berlin: The German judiciary is pursuing German international player Marco Reus for driving without a license, and have requested his colleagues from football club Borussia Dortmund to testify about other alleged violations.

Dortmund prosecutors have sent an investigator to speak to the players of the Bundesliga team, and have already taken a statement from his former coach Jurgen Klopp, prosecution officials said on Friday, reports Efe.

Reus was fined 540,000 euros ($587,250) last year after being found guilty on six counts of driving without a license.

The criminal punishment was equivalent to 90 days of Reus's salary and the case was considered closed.

However, prosecutors reopened investigations based on statements from other witnesses, who claim to have seen Reus driving in other instances that were not covered by his fine.
