Irked by retirement question, Cristiano Ronaldo walks off TV interview

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly walked out of a TV interview with musician and host Gao Xiaosong during his recent visit to China for a promotional tour.

Ronaldo, 33, is said to have been unhappy with a question on retirement. When Gao asked Ronaldo about his retirement plans, he replied saying he was still very much in the peak of his career. Then, according to a member of the shoot, Ronaldo turned to one of his assistants and said: "Can we ends this soon?" Gao wanted to ask another question, but Ronaldo's team declined and the player walked off.

Gao was not too happy because the interview, which was supposed to be for 45 minutes, was cut short by 14 minutes. "We had submitted all our questions to Ronaldo's team in advance and they didn't say anything," Gao wrote on social media.

He also claimed that Ronaldo had arrived an hour late for the interview. "We were all starving but didn't complain - big stars are very busy," added Gao.
