England football legend Paul Gascoigne has blamed his premature exit from Sky Sports' TV show Soccer AM on Saturday morning on sleeping pills. After Gascoigne leaving the show midway, host John Fendley told viewers that the former footballer was "not feeling wonderful".

Gazza, 51, as he is fondly known, has had a history of drinking problems because of which some of his social media followers blamed the exit on alcohol. However, he clarified that it was not due to alcohol but because of his consumption of sleeping pills.

"Ha just read some of the tweets some say I'm looking well others say it's the best they've seen me and others are saying i was drunk it's every time I'm doing well that's ok I been taking sleeping tablets to try kip that all love GAZZA xxxx," Gascoigne wrote on Twitter. We believe you, Gazza!
