Despite Barcelona's 4-0 win over Almeria on Wednesday night giving them a four-point lead over Real Madrid, star forward reminds his team that the league is far from won

Barcelona: Barcelona have a long way to go before they can celebrate their performances in 2014-15, according to star forward Lionel Messi.

The Argentine scored a sublime curled strike from the edge of the box on Wednesday night as Luis Enrique's men ran out 4-0 winners over Almeria to ensure they stayed four points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.
Stirker Luis Suarez made the game safe when he fired into the top corner 10 minutes after the break and bagged his second of the evening in stoppage time after Marc Bartra headed home the third from Xavi's corner.
Ronaldo reaches milestone
Elsewhere, Madrid suffered a much more uncomfortable evening in a capital derby at Rayo before Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 300th Real Madrid goal in a 2-0 win at Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.
James Rodriguez scored Real's second goal of the night to help Real stay on Barcelona's tail.
Messi has played a huge part in Barca's nine-game winning streak - they have only failed to win once since the first game of 2015 - but he is refusing to get carried away with their four-point lead atop the La Liga table.
"We won against Almeria, but there is still a long way to go," the 27-year-old, wrote on his official Facebook page. "We have to keep fighting in every match."
"It is the stage of the season where we have a lot to play for," said Suarez.
"We ought to show our personality because we are Barcelona. In the league we depend on ourselves and we need to continue in this vein," he added.
Next up for Barca is an extremely testing visit to Sevilla tomorrow, with Unai Emery's men battling for a Champions League spot as they sit behind fourth-placed Valencia in La Liga on goal difference.
