France: Antony Martial
While struggling to establish himself at United following manager Jose Mourinho's arrival at Old Trafford in 2016, Martial dropped out of his country's senior squad, playing his last international in October 2016. The former Monaco forward has won over Jose Mourinho this season by netting seven goals in all competitions for his club. Anthony Martial has been rewarded with a recall to the France squad following his excellent form this season with Manchester United.
England: Tony Abraham
England boss, Southgate seized the opportunity by including Abraham in the squad to play Germany. This season has scored five times in 13 appearances for the Swansea including a brace in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield a fortnight ago. Last season he was on loan at Championship side Bristol City and scored 26 times for the Robins. Abraham has had a hand in five of Swansea's seven league goals this season (4 goals, 1 assist), the highest ratio in the Premiership.
Germany: Mario Gotze
The Borussia Dortmund star has been absent from the Die Mannschaft squad for almost a year because of a rare metabolic illness. At the start of this year, Gotze was sidelined after being diagnosed with myopathy - a rare muscle disorder which is predominantly why the World Cup winning midfielder struggled for fitness, in the 2016/17 campaign, where he made just 16 appearances and had an underwhelming tally of two goals and two assists. But he returned to full fitness for pre-season in July and after getting back to 100 per cent, has gone on to make 11 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund. He will look forward to make an impact on his long waited return.
Wales: Chris Gunter
The Welsh player has been an integral part of the rejuvenation of the national side under first Gary Speed and then Chris Coleman, with his consistent performances marking him out as a firm fans favourite. He also became the first man other than Gareth Bale to win the player of the award since 2012. After missing out the spot in World Cup 2018, he will look forward to again bring back his team some glory against the French side.
