Mumbai City FC head coach Petr Kratky is keen to undo previous mistakes when his team square off against the Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) to become the Indian Super League (ISL) Cup Winners at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata, in the final on May 4.
Kratky revels at the prospect of upsetting the Mariners in front of an expected 60,000 people who are set to attend the summit clash of the Indian top-tier. The Islanders sealed their place in the title decider after brushing aside FC Goa 2-0 in the second leg of their semi-final fixture at the Mumbai Football Arena (MFA) on Monday.
However, the team that finishes at the top of the table at the end of the league stages are crowned the ISL Champions.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant secured that honour on April 15 following their 2-1 victory at home against the Islanders.

Kratky and his men have a chance to get back at the Kolkata-based team, and the hostile atmosphere in the City of Joy excites the tactician and his squad. "It will be a fantastic game with more than 60,000 people. We know the quality of Mohun Bagan and we also know what we have done wrong over there. We will try to improve and be a little bit different team [in comparison to] when we are there in the [previous] game. We can be better than we played there, we just have to recover, regroup, and get excited about this [FC Goa] game, but move on and focus on the last game of the season which will be very good," Kratky said.
As the semi-final rounded off, Kratky wasn't particularly pleased with the quality of football on display, but was relieved that his boys got the job done to win the fixture by 5-2 on aggregate across both legs against the Gaurs.
"We won it 2-0. We absorbed the pressure tactically, we were well organised, and the boys worked hard. So, it depends on which angle you are looking for. But as I said, I saw more high-quality games before," Kratky signed off.
