American pop star Lady Gaga and Swedish pop group ABBA could perform at next year's football World Cup in Qatar. According to The Times, besides the chance to see international music stars, fans will also be able to experience a new port that will be home to two cruise ships which can accommodate 6,000 people.
Qatar wants to welcome fans from across the globe in western-style and the entertainment includes musical acts such as Lady Gaga, ABBA, Andrea Bocelli and Aerosmith. The stalwarts of the music industry are all signed by Universal, who have a partnership with FIFA.
However, fans need to be cautious. According to Qatari law, drinking in public is banned. The drinking age in the country is 21, and the laws are unlikely to change for the tournament.
