St Peter's High School (Mazagaon) combined perfectly as a team and dominated play throughout as they charged to a thumping 5-0 win against St Jude HS (Andheri) in a boys' under-16 Div-IV match of the MSSA inter-schools football tournament played at the St Francis D'Assisi HS ground, Borivli, on Wednesday.

Strikers steal show

Strikers Farzan Ansari, Ahian Andrew, Taher Bhanpurawala, Khizar Ansari, and Abdul Marne, all contributed with a goal each to complete the winning tally.

Meanwhile, PG Garodia ICSE (Ghatkopar) scored once in each half to record a comfortable 2-0 win against IES Orion (Dadar).

Ayush scores opener

The Ghatkopar lads called the shots from the outset and opened the scoring with Ayush Ghule's strike in the 14th minute to take a slender 1-0 half-time lead.

PG Garodia continued to dictate terms and doubled their lead when Krishna Menon hit the target in the 27th minute and sealed their victory.

Later in the afternoon, Arya Vidya Mandir (Bandra) boys fought hard to overcome a spirited Pawar Public School (Kandivali) by a close 2-1 margin. Arkush Wanchoo struck the first goal in the 12th minute before Aaryan Raje netted the second in the 26th minute to clinch a narrow victory.

Rachit Mehta netted Pawar Public's lone goal late in the match.

Earlier, Don Bosco International (Matunga) and St Xavier's HS (Goregaon) played out a tame goalless draw.

Tawheed on target

In the first match of the day, AKI Hussain Allana English ‘A' powered by Tawheed Bhati's lone strike got the better of Nalanda Public School (Mulund) by a tight 1-0 margin.
