Galtier is a former professional footballer himself and played for the likes of Marseille and Lille in France
In 2009, Galtier was made the head coach of Saint-Etienne with whom he won the Coupe de la Ligue in 2012-13
Galtier then moved to LOSC Lille in 2017 and that's where he earned his claim to fame. In a fairytale 2020/21 campaign, Galtier took Lille to their first Ligue 1 triumph since 2011
Thereafter, Galtier moved to OGC Nice in 2021 and helped them finish in 5th place, bettering their 9th place finish one season earlier
His immense success in Ligue 1 saw him signed by French giants Paris Saint Germain for the 2022/23 campaign
