Aditya qualifies for knockouts

Indian cueist Aditya Mehta knock out stage of the Sangsom 6 Red World Championships after stunning former Irish world champion Ken Doherty 5-2 yesterday. The win is Aditya's third after the first two matches yesterday


Compatriot Pankaj Advani remained in contention for a berth in the knockouts as he beat Thailand's Thepchaiya Un-Nooh 5-4 for his second win, but later in the day, went down 2-5 to England's Andrew Higginson in a Group E match.
