The former world champion finally finished third on the podium at Istanbul after a slow start to the season and will have to capitalise on the momentum gained.

The Spaniard is fifth in the drivers' standings behind Vettel, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, Webber and McLaren's Jenson Button. "What matters are results and we've started to make the podium. We must do that regularly and if so I'm convinced that we will again be able to fight for the title," said Alonso.
Meanwhile, Red Bull's Vettel is closing in on the legendary Ayrton Senna's record of eight straight poles at the Spanish Grand Prix, which marks the start of the European season.
