Anjuman Islam Urdu's medium-pacer claims nine wickets in their thumping 10-wicket win over Fazlani school

Aman Singh was the hero for Anjuman Islam Urdu School (CST) in their thumping 10-wicket win over Fazlani L'Academie Globale, (Mazgaon) after the right-arm pacer claimed nine wickets and conceded only six runs in 4.5 overs during a Harris Shield Plate Division match at Azad Maidan yesterday.

The match did not even last a couple of hours as Fazlani were bowled out for 23 in 13.5 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat. Anjuman chased the target in nine overs.

Aman claimed the wickets of Samvar Shah, Neev Jhaveri, Kamran Attarwala, Rishab Balota, Jay Shah, Poojan Ajmera, Krish Jain, Varun Bokana and Abullah Mehta.

Aman, a Badlapur resident, was over the moon with his heroic show. "This is definitely my best performance so far. I am glad that I could help my team win this match. I hope to continue bowling well," said Aman.

Aman's failed in his bid to take all 10 wickets when Fazlani's sixth wicket - Dweet Jain was run out by Shoaib Chaudhary.

Aman also missed out on a hat-trick. He was nevertheless unfazed by the missed opportunity. "I never imagined taking so many wickets in an innings. I was happy with the way I was bowling and the wickets I was getting," said Aman.
