India's Isiah Rajendra Sanam won his maiden international gold medal in the men's individual compound event of the 16th Asian archery championship at Bali, Indonesia on Saturday.
The 15th-ranked Indian pushed Indonesian Nyoman Puruhito, 11 rungs higher in rankings, to the silver medal with a 106-103 final conquest. The win gave Sanam a creditable double team and individual gold medals.
