Rani, who participated for in 20-km walk, tested positive for banned nandrolone, the Commonwealth Games Federation confirmed Wednesday.

Doping scandal in the Delhi Games thus continues to grow in proportion. Nigerian 110m hurdler Samuel Okon and compatriot women's 100m gold medallist Osayemi Oludamola have been tested positive so far.

CWG chief Michael Fennell had earlier said that according to the rule he wouldn't reveal the name of the athlete before the player receives the official notification.
