Ghana midfielder Stephen Appiah insists his team will not underestimate Australia following their humiliation at the hands of Germany last week.
The Black Stars face the Socceroos in Rustenburg today, knowing they may be just one win away from securing a place in the next round of the World Cup.
Pim Verbeek's men were thumped 4-0 by the Germans on Sunday, but Appiah knows they are a better team than the result suggests.
"Australia is a very good team and we won't be deceived by their heavy defeat to Germany," he said.
"At this level of football, it is very dangerous to get complacent and we are aware of that. It will be a different game against us because they want to come back from their defeat.
"We know they will be dangerous but we are focused and determined."
Germany currently lead Group C with three points on goal difference from the Ghanaians, who beat Serbia 1-0 in their opening match. Appiah revealed Ghana will be going all out for another win.
He added: "We know what beating the Australians means and our mission is to beat them."
