The presence of seasoned midfielder Jatin Bisht in the starting line-up helped ONGC snatch their first win as they tamed a jaded Union Bank of India (UBI) 2-0 in an Elite Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League, played at the University Sports ground, Marine Lines yesterday


The presence of seasoned midfielder Jatin Bisht in the starting line-up helped ONGC snatch their first win as they tamed a jaded Union Bank of India (UBI) 2-0 in an Elite Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League, played at the University Sports ground, Marine Lines yesterday.

ONGC, who had earlier drawn 1-1 with Western Railway now have four points, while this was the first defeat for UBI, who had defeated Mumbai FC 3-0 in their opening match.

Bisht, a former international and a deadball specialist, showed his class with a trademark free-kick to open the scoring for ONGC in the 33rd minute
