Brainy World are up there in Colaba football league

Goals from Praful Bhoir, Chetan Tandel, Hemant Meher, Charles Fernandes helped Brainy World reign supreme in the Colaba Sports League Grand Finale at the Cooperage on Friday evening when they beat Kalaakar Indians via the tie-breaker.

Dheeraj Mistry, Milind Meher and Anil Pawar scored for the losers. The match started on a slow note as both teams gauged their opponents. After the first half, the competition got fierce as players collided and got injured too. Kalaakar Indians were shown two yellow cards. The goalkeepers of both sides showed tremendous amount of skill.

The enthusiastic crowd seemed to lap up the tie-breaker to decide the result and as expected, Praful Bhoir got cheers aplenty for his deciding goal. Industrialist Ratan Tata was the guest of honour.
